Distinguish a cover from a connection bellows
State whether the bellows is a cover, duct connection or pressure-containing part before selecting compound and geometry. Folds, fixing points and installed space should be shown on the drawing. A photograph does not establish the component function or allowed movement.
- Rubber Expansion Joints: A pipeline joint needs complete system and connection details.
- Fabric Expansion Joints: A textile connection has a separate construction.
Fit, inspection and installation review
Confirm whether the part is a cover, duct connection or pressure-containing component. Inspect folds and attachment areas before fitting.
