Define the product and process
The manufacturing route follows the product construction. Spiral wound gaskets require a winding, filler and ring specification; cut gaskets require sheet grade and geometry; packing requires fiber, treatment and braid construction. PTFE parts require material formulation and a controlled drawing.
Drawings, samples & repeat orders
Retain the drawing revision, dimensions, tolerances and approved material on each order. Reference samples can assist identification but do not replace a complete specification. Repeat orders should use the same approved product designation and record any changes.

Request the records relevant to your product: material identification, dimensional inspection, agreed testing and packaging checks. Confirm witness points or third-party access before production where required.
