Define recovery for the selected material
High recovery is a performance requirement rather than a material grade. A comparison needs the same named construction and an agreed test method, loading and acceptance basis. Keep that test requirement separate from the gasket geometry; the name alone cannot identify a replacement.
- Non-Asbestos Gaskets: A named construction still needs the required recovery conditions defined.
Fit, inspection and installation review
State the test conditions and acceptance criteria with the RFQ. Evaluate the selected construction under the intended assembly load.
Custom requirements and quotation scope
Send the high recovery gaskets specification with the drawing revision and quantity for each item. Include the delivery destination, required date, sample requirements and the documents that must accompany the order.
MOQ, lead time, sample scope and payment terms are confirmed in the itemized quotation. State EXW, FOB or CIF with the named place or port when requesting a shipping basis. Any custom processing, tooling and independent inspection should be identified separately.
