Choose construction before movement requirements
Metal, rubber, PTFE and fabric joints are different assemblies. Identify the pipe or duct system first, then provide movement, connections and installed space. Support and restraint information belongs with the system drawing used to review the joint.
- Metal Expansion Joints: Metal bellows have their own material and movement specification.
- Rubber Expansion Joints: Rubber joints need a compound and complete connection arrangement.
- Fabric Expansion Joints: Fabric joints need textile and attachment details.
Fit, inspection and installation review
Provide the system drawing and restraint arrangement. Agree inspection and installation requirements for the chosen joint type.
Custom requirements and quotation scope
Send the expansion joints specification with the drawing revision and quantity for each item. Include the delivery destination, required date, sample requirements and the documents that must accompany the order.
MOQ, lead time, sample scope and payment terms are confirmed in the itemized quotation. State EXW, FOB or CIF with the named place or port when requesting a shipping basis. Any custom processing, tooling and independent inspection should be identified separately.
