Felt composition, density and the cut profile
A felt gasket is defined by the fiber stock and finished shape. Thickness alone does not identify the felt: density, treatment and backing remain separate details. Narrow webs, small holes and adhesive orientation should be visible on the cutting drawing.
- Felt Sheets: Felt sheet is the stock route when the buyer will cut the profile.
Fit, inspection and installation review
Check thickness and edge quality on a sample. Keep the material dry and avoid compressing the package before installation.
Custom requirements and quotation scope
Send the felt gaskets specification with the drawing revision and quantity for each item. Include the delivery destination, required date, sample requirements and the documents that must accompany the order.
MOQ, lead time, sample scope and payment terms are confirmed in the itemized quotation. State EXW, FOB or CIF with the named place or port when requesting a shipping basis. Any custom processing, tooling and independent inspection should be identified separately.
